REDvolution 2015

HIV AIDS is slowly developing in our country and what better way to spread awareness to our younger generation by bringing them the latest performers on stage.

That is what happened a couple of weeks back when I attended REDvolution.
REDvolution is an event to spread awareness about HIV and how we can stop it spreading.

Product Review: Kojie San Cleanser+Toner

Hey lovely ladies!

I haven't done a product review in a long time and I am so stoked to write a new one! There will be lots more to be posted so don't forget to check back regularly ok?

Okay so for today's review will be all about Kojie San's Cleanser+Toner

This actually was given to me during an event months ago and I stumbled upon it while going through my pile of beauty products. Sometimes I am really thankful I have a closet full of them because I don't need to buy one teehee!

So I finally decided to try it out since what's there to lose right?

I got the 60mL one but I believe there is a bigger version as well.

According to the bottle

Kojie San Cleanser + Toner is a light solution derived from blend of natural ingredients that cleanses and moisturizes skin. This 2-in-1 formula contains Ginseng Extract and Rose Hip Oil known for its skin firming ability that helps smoothen fine lines and wrinkles. it also helps revive tired and damaged skin, clears blemishes and prevents dryness.

That is actually a long list of things but as per using this product I noticed some things:

1. I can use this even when I am really tired.
2. removes dirt easily from my face.
3. doesn't dry my skin.
4. made my complexion better with continued use.
5. Its a 2 in 1 product!

The only thing though that I do not like about this is the packaging. I think the whole is too big thus dispenses more product. Its a bit irritating especially when I am super tired that I tend to over pour the cleanser in my cotton pad.

Over all I think this is a great product to try. If you are a bit lazy with cleaning your face sometimes, this can be a good alternative because it cleans our skin from the excess oil and dirt without drying it.

You can purchase this at any beauty store nationwide in its 60mL and 100mL size.

Have you tried this product? What other 2-in-1 product would you like me to try next?

Comment below! I am really excited for your recommendations!

Much Love!

Cook Magazine Disco Fever 5th Holiday Bash

This is definitely one of the magazines I read a lot because of F.O.O.D. - Cook Magazine!

I have been a reader since they have started publishing, not just because of the food shots - which I can say are fantastic and mouth watering but also the recipes and restaurants they provide for the foodies out there.

I am a Girl Who Loves to Read BUT...

I had this conversation/argument with my friend the other night how girls who read are usually the last to be in a relationship.

By the way my friend is a guy so hate on him all you want.

Urban Generation Calamba Grand Opening

Usually I like to shop for key items for my wardrobe like a good pair of shoes, a nice dressy blouse that fits for casual and business setting.

The only problem is there are not a lot of stores that offer that on a tight budget.

But thankfully I found it in Urban Generation!

They actually offer really good quality clothes without burying your wallet to the ground - I am not kidding.

I was able to visit a couple of their stores and I remembered seeing a couple of shirts that costs about 500 pesos on a high end clothing store that costs half its price at Urban Generation - Too bad that shirt was sold out immediately because they were really cute.

And I am really thankful to be part of the selected few to be invited for the grand opening of their Calamba, Laguna branch.

The event was graced by Hon. Timmy Chipeco, Urban Generation Owner Renato Uy and one of their brand ambassador's Bea Binene.

There was a ribbon cutting as to officially open its sixth branch in Calamba, Laguna.

There was also a short program before finally opening the store to the public. The Urban Generation in Calamba is actually a three story store with each station for men's, women's and for kids. Its well air conditioned so everyone is comfortable while picking out the latest and trendiest clothes that don't burn the budget.

There were also a few lucky fans that got a chance to meet and greet Bea Binene. They also got the chance to take pictures with her and have first dibs on the items they want to buy inside the store with Bea!

Congratulations to Urban Generation on the grand opening of your sixth branch and I hope you'll have more stores in the future and continue to bring the trendiest items all the time!

Much Love!

OOTD: Black and Comfort

Did I ever tell you guys that I also know how to sew?

Yeah..that's one of the hobbies I have that I don't normally say to anyone because its a practical skill but not something we do everyday.

I actually just finished making a pair of shorts for myself and tried to use it beyond to comforts of home. The hemline stitches broke though which was unfortunate. But it looked great with my top from Urban Generation.

The top actually looked more like a dress which was really nice.

One thing I loved about my top is the print because its a palm leaf! Its a total rando but what gives haha!

If you want to check out more about Urban Generation and their clothes you can visit them on their stores at

Avenida, Manila
Carriedo, Manila
Malolos, Bulacan
Calamba, Laguna
Rosario, Cavite
Silang, Cavite
and their latest branch at Calamba, Laguna!

Much love!

OOTD: Hot (Pink) and Ripped (Pants)

As the days are going, more parties are coming along. This week alone I have about 5 parties to attend to! Its crazy! But thankfully I have a full wardrobe of clothes so I don't have to wear the same top over and over again.

One of the tops I am currently loving is this hot pink top from Urban Generation. It is a little form fitting so it will give me a mental reminder not too eat too much haha! There is one detail about it that I love - Its so warm! I wore this top when I went to Cook Magazine's 5th year bash at House Manila with my Big Difference Communications Family.

I like wearing this top with my ripped jeans to give it a bit more attitude and a pair of black pumps. Honestly my feet were in pain after wearing these because I am not used to wearing heels.

The top actually comes in different colors but I chose hot pink to make a statement.

If you want to get one as well you can drop by any Urban Generation store in

Avenida, Manila
Carriedo, Manila
Malolos, Bulacan
Silang, Cavite
Rosario, Cavite
and their latest branch in Calamba, Laguna!

Much Love!

Personal Post: The Day I Broke up with My Boyfriend

Just when you thought that everything is going well, that is when life splashes you with water to wake you up from the reality that not life is not a fairy tale.

That happened the day I woke up that my then-boyfriend has a girlfriend and I'm the number 2.

I was so dumb for believing all his lies - Maybe that is what love does to you. It makes you forget the reality that some men will try to find a way to get out of a situation that would make them sink into a pool of death from not one but two women.

It happened about December 15 2009. It was weird because I was at work at that day. The thought of breaking if off has been in my head that past week. It was nerve wracking but then while I was taking a call it suddenly struck me - I need to break it off FAST.

So I asked our command center put me on a short break and thankfully they did and I went to the bathroom and called him and just said "I want out - lets break up"

It caught him off guard. He asked me why and I said I know everything already. I don't want to be in it and just hanged up. He did texted me and tried to call me several times, but I didn't answer any of his messages nor calls.

Being the number 2 with or without knowing it makes a woman feel unimportant. Like she is just an option or a spare to the man's disposal. I don't want to be someone that is a spare or option, I want to be the only one he sees and the last thing he thinks about when he goes to sleep.

After the break up I immersed myself to be busy. It was weird because I think my co-workers knew that I went through a break up because they told me my whole face was bright red when I went back to my station.

A few days passed by seemed like a blur.

It was like I was a robot that just worked. worked. worked. I actually didn't smile as well. It was like I was a different person after the break up.

It was really painful for the next few years - and yes it took me years to move on!

My ex did try to get back with me - up until last October actually. But if you know me, when it comes to relationships - When its over IT.IS.OVER.

I don't want to make the same mistake I had before by getting back with him. No matter how hard he tried I know he was just doing it for the sake of getting me back. Even if he was sincere I won't get back with him.

As of this writing, I am on my sixth anniversary of being single. And so far so good I am trying my luck in meeting new people in my life. I haven't been in a relationship with anyone since the break up and I believe that's okay. I actually love this time of my life and I am not in a hurry to be in a relationship anytime soon, although most of my friends are in relationships now which makes me feel singled out yet again haha!

And to those that are like me, don't feel bad that you have been single for a long time - there will surely be someone for you, he might not be here now but he'll be here soon for sure.

Much Love

OOTD:Casual and Business Friendly outfit

Hey girls!

I don't normally post OOTDs on my blog because I am not comfortable with being the model. But there is always a first time for everything right?

This OOTD is actually part of the clothes I got from Urban Generation. Urban Generation is a clothing store that gives really good quality clothes minus the hefty price tag.

Most of their clothes are under 500 pesos and are comparable with the ones from the mall that costs more than 500 pesos! It was really a surprise as well that they have a selection of clothes that fit my size since if you girls do not know I don't exactly have a size zero body.

This top actually is my favorite because of the print. I love that its very casual looking but with some accessories and layering it can become a top fit for a business meeting!

If you want to get a hold of this and also more clothes this holiday season make sure to head out to Urban Generation! They have branches located at Avenida, Carriedo, Silang and Rosario Cavite, Malolos Bulacan and their latest branch in Calamba Laguna!

Follow them on their social media sites as well!

Much Love!

Believe You can Fly with Flying Trapeze Philippines!

Would you ever believe I have a phobia of heights? I don't think you would but I do! I would however try anything that requires me to be on air at least once just for fun - when literally my heart would be doing its own bypass just to keep my alive.

And then this came - The re-opening of the Flying Trapeze at BGC last week. They invited me to try it out since they changed their venue which is I would say near SM Aura now which is more accessible since there are a lot of transportation that pass by there.

Doing the trapeze is not just hanging on a bar and swinging on air. Its basically controlling your whole body in doing all those moves without letting go - Its totally safe so don't worry.

There was also a small business dedication before everyone got strapped in and swinging to make everything official. The program was really simple because they really wanted everybody to have a good time.

You can also take classes for this! I believe they are having a promo that for 800php you can do a whole session which lasts about 2 hours and a buy one get one for first timers!

I would definitely recommend this to my friends who are more into these. If you want to know more you can visit them at www.trapeze.ph for the rates and also their promos!

And also if you want to conquer your fears - make sure to try this out!

Much Love!

Personal Post: The time I almost dated my friend's EX

Hey!

I just want to share this really embarrassing and maybe awkward thing that happened to me. This happened many many months ago and I am sure one of you girls have had this so here goes.

And also if you are gonna shame me for this - I don't care because my friend knew I didn't go through the date because even though they have broken up a long time ago I would never date my friend's ex

#justsayin

Okay so lets get started.

Its been years since I last dated- This is for real because I am really focused on getting my resume rollin' with credits and also I was still moving on from my ex so let's just say that I am not emotionally ready yet, but I am on this dating app as per requested by my friend because what is the harm of it right?

So as I was scrolling this app I saw this really gorgeous, smart, and someone I really fancy guy and I messaged him. Let's hide him in the name of Mr. J for the duration of this write up. So me and Mr. J started casually chatting about what's up and how are we doing.

A week of chatting I actually did more research on him through our good friend Google.

He is a professional that works in Makati, no criminal nor marriage records - and he LOVES cats. Most of our conversations run through about cats so I know he will love mine IF we meet up.

But then my friend (Lets hide her in the name Chloe) sees me doing my research and blew the bomb on me that she dated the guy a couple of years back. They became a couple for about 1 and 1/2 year but eventually split up because he was too 'career-driven'

I asked her if its okay for me to date him and she did say yes. I still did the casual chats with Mr. J, but I had to come clean that I knew his Ex Chloe. He was actually surprised that I knew Chloe because she is not like me. Chloe is a dog person who loves to party and is mostly a mediocre at her job.

I was partially angry at him criticizing my friend because Chloe has been my friend for quite a long time and I know she is doing her best at her job.

He did asked me out on a date but I refused because I didn't like how he told me stuff about my friend as if it didn't mattered to me.

Chloe is one of my friends who supported me when I quit my job as an online teacher to be a blogger - she also let me borrow some money when I needed it, but never accepts the payment I give her.

As for Mr. J, we did meet up to have some coffee and just talk. There was not a single spark when we meet up and talk. I think it was just all in my head when we were chatting. He is gorgeous I tell you, but sometimes looks will just fade away if you don't like them more than that.

I am still talking to Mr. J. But more as friends now. He is in a relationship with an AD agency manager as of what I last knew of. He would probably know that I wrote this because he also reads my blog from time to time, but I think it would be okay for him...right?

As with Chloe, she is now pregnant with her first child. I have never met the father but have seen him on her IG posts and Facebook posts. He looks really nice and certainly very matinee-ish.

As for me, I am still single while typing this post. I am in contact with a couple of guys from another dating app. Nothing serious for now though because I do want to experience everything first before I have a boyfriend. But who knows..maybe the guy reading this maybe my next or probably the last.

If you like this kinds of posts make sure to leave a comment below. Don't be shy..I know you have some questions itching to ask me haha!

Talk to you next time!

eRAse Blogger's Day Launches new items

As a female, most of us are conscious about how our skin is and when we get scratches or pimples it makes us more self conscious and would try to find a way to get rid of these.

And as a company that distributes top quality and effective beauty and skin care products, Jaoming Marketing, the makers of eRase Plantcenta is making a breakthrough in the market to provide a more modern skin management fit for the Filipina skin. Jaoming Marketing continues to bring the latest in proper skin management in today's modern Filipina that are not just independent, but strong and has a very active lifestyle.

Being in the business since 1991 as UK Derm Pharma that was founded by Mr. Louie Gamboa, they first specialized in making astringents and papaya soaps that are very in demand up unto this day. But in 2006 Jaoming Marketing group was incorporated to distribute new products from UK Derm nationwide, same time as eRAse Solution and eRAse Plantcenta was launched. As it continues to soar, the next year JMC launches jiao ming glutathione soap with Ms. Iwa Moto as its celebrity endorser. Then in 2008 they launched eRAse concert series which featured local acts such as Hale and Callalily and also the company starts selling their products at Watson's. And as the year progressed, new opportunities emerged like eRAse Solution and other Jaoming Corporation has become locally available in SM Supermarkets nationwide. And just this 2012, JMC has joined the PBA D-league with eRAse Xfoliant Team.

I am really honored to be part of the bloggers that were chosen to be part of their bloggers day. They shared a lot of things about eRAse products and also their new ventures with UK Pharma products!

Besides from of course talking about their well known products, The people from eRAse also featured their latest products which are eRAse scents and also the Gamboa Sports line.

The part that I was really waiting for was when they talked about the UK Pharma line. It is basically a direct selling business of make up products that work for every Filipina skin!

As of the moment they only have a limited number of lipstick colors, blushes and foundations but they are sure to formulate new ones in the future when I asked them. I liked the packaging of their products because they are highly similar to the ones that are high end but the prices are not that expensive.

I did some swatches on the three lipsticks that they had and I can honestly say that they are highly pigmented because these are just one swipe! really awesome shades too!

These are just the basic ones which are the basic red, coral/orange and pink. I do like the coral/orange shade because its not too orange-y while the pink one I found too shimmery for my liking - am I weird about that?

And if you notice in the picture there were far more than just the soaps that they offer. I actually really wanted to try the argan oil line they have so I am just going to wait and save up to buy the whole line because why buy just one when you can buy them all? #BeautyJunkieProblems haha!

Most of the guys are interested with the scents because there are not a lot of body sprays for men in the market and the scents are actually really good that I want to have one too! Its like if you have one of those its also perfect for girls who prefer male scents.

Overall there are a lot of things to expect from eRAse so make sure to check them out of Facebook and also all the stores that they supply like SM and Watsons and some other beauty stores.

I'll talk to you guys next time ok?

Much Love!

xx Alice

Getting Sick Sucks

I'm currently on recovery mode.

I got sick despite what other people think that I wasn't sick. I just came home from my doctor's who prescribed me some medicine to at least alleviate the pain in my back and also cure me of this cough that I had since last week. The ridiculous part of it is my doctor told me to not get stressed too often because it might lead me to getting my asthma back - HA! this is the funniest one that she said to me. I tell you it was like telling a child to stay away from chocolates which obviously most kids won't be able to do.

To be honest it sucks...like TOTALLY SUCKS!

I hate being sick because it makes me weak. It makes me want to just sleep and sleep and not get any work done. And for the first time in a year, I was able to abstain myself in facing either my phone, laptop or even the television today! I was that down it made me sick just seeing them.

Thankfully my friend Aiden helped me out by at least transferring some of my files from my net book to my main laptop and at least editing some of my vlogs to be uploaded soon. This is why I love my friends, whenever I call one of them, they easily help me out.

Thankfully by tomorrow I will be back in shape. I just hope that everything goes well and not turn for the worst.

Now I have to write at least one article to you guys to let you know that I am still alive - but not kicking. Possibly tomorrow I will be able to function well as a normal human being. But now I will live with some soup and no TV.

Still coping to live,

xx Alice

Gray Hair at 26

That white strand you see at the back of my phablet is not a cat hair that strayed in my clothes, but an actual gray hair that I got from my hair one day while I was fixing my hair.

And it hit me - I'm getting old.

I never thought that I would get it at 26. I was thinking in the course of early 30s maybe but not now!

I may sound that I am over reacting on this, but  I don't want to get gray hair on a young age.

I've researched the possible causes of it and maybe one of the possible causes is stress although there is no scientific explanation on this. Another probable cause is a vitamin B-12 deficiency or problems with the pituitary gland or the thyroid gland which can be reversible according to Web MD.

I am not against people that have premature gray hair because its not a medical problem. I just don't understand why I am getting this at my age. WHY?!?

I remember talking to my Best Boy Friend about this and he jokes that I am slowly turning into a grandma. wag naman sana! wala pa nga akong anak lola na agad?? But he assured me that even if I get gray hair I still look fine so no worries. Grabe lang siguro stress ko at kinukulang na ko sa vitamins.

To be honest, sobrang stressful ng mga nangyari saken this past few weeks, I've even forgotten to vlog! ganun ako ka-busy kaya if ever I am late on my posts or engagements I would apologize in advance.

Okay back to the topic: what do I do?

simple answer: NOTHING!

Although its nerve wracking, I actually have embraced this new thing that happened to me. At least I can say na kahit pumuputi na buhok ko maganda pa rin ako. Haha! anlakas ng bilib sa sarili! Kaloka!

So if you are experiencing the same thing- don't sweat it. Mahirap tanggapin, but learn how to because its not going to be the end of the world. And honestly most people won't notice a strand or two in your hair.

Okay I think I need to go now. Antok na katawang lupa ko. Baka mamaya atakihin nanaman ako ng mood swings ko at mag flip ako ng table.

Much Love!

When you felt like dying

Walking almost 10 blocks just to get a ride home is something I don't like to do - but I have to unless I want to sleep on a park bench in a place I barely knew existed in the map.

Yes. I almost had that thought in mind but remembered I had 100 pesos in my pocket so I can still manage na makauwi.

Ang weird lang talaga ng utak ko.

The Beauty of the Dead Sea with Jordan's Premier Beauty Secrets

I can honestly say that this week was by far the most stressful week I've had. I had to be literally on the road as early as 7:30AM since last Tuesday and would get home at around 12 midnight. I wasn't wearing any make up at all but it was really great because I discovered something that refreshed my skin not just for the day but I can say for the entire week!

Last Friday I was invited with a few beauty bloggers to discover Beauty Secrets which is the only brand in the world that has the widest range of facial mud products that come from the Dead Sea.

They are already available in 65 countries from the Middle East to the United States of America and it will now be available this December here in the Philippines! How awesome right?

One of the highlights of the program is they did a demo of the mud mask on  some bloggers which I actually was included. They mentioned that Beauty Secrets Facial Mud has 21 minerals like Magnesium, Potassium, Chloride, Bromide, and Calcium and also a few ingredients like Aloe Vera, Collagen and Vitamin E.

Besides from the facial mud mask, Beauty Secrets also has about 120 products that is not just for the face but also for the hair and body.

The whole session actually lasted about 15 to 20 minutes and my skin felt so much better after the session and I can say that I am so excited to try the other variants and also the other lines from Jordan's Premier Beauty Secret in the future!

You can also try it out because they have a personalized facial and body scrub treatment that you can avail when you visit their website www.b-secrets.com or check their facebook page Jordan's Beauty Secrets.

Much Love!

Great Women Brands Launch at Tesoro's

Studies show that nearly the same level of gender equality as other first world nations in that more than 50% of main and Mid-level managers are women and also women are more engaged in business - mainly in trade as there is no formal barriers for the Filipina to be the most she can be and this is something we should be proud of.

I am really honored to be part of the invited people to see the launch of the Great Women Brand which is formed by a group of women that have partnered with Tesoros handicrafts and ECHOsi Foundation in showcasing a lifestyle collection of textile products created by groups of women designers, product developers and lifestyle entrepreneurs that are also working with women weavers from various communities in the Philippines.

They have different designs that are not only sold here in the Philippines but also abroad!

Using the Philippine made materials such as the Pina abaca from the Bagobo Kinatkat and Maranao Langkit Embroidery they showcase these in the bags, clothes and accessories that can be used daily.

One of the more exciting things that I saw is the statement cuffs that were made by Wynn Wynn Ong but unfortunately Ms. Wynn Wynn was not able to make it to the event because she had an emergency to attend to. I was able to see these for myself and the cuffs looked really awesome and there is only a few pairs in display but I hope in the future I'll be able to have one as well.

If you want to get a hold of these you can drop by Tesoros store at Makati which is located at 1016 A. Arnaiz Ave. and also at the Pre-Departure Area at the NAIA Terminal 3 .

Much Love!

Giro De Pilipinas Experience

Cycling is now becoming a good form of exercise with most Filipinos - especially those that are training for a triathlon or duathlon. And with this a huge surge of cycling events are now happening within the Philippines - with the first from Giro de Pilipinas.

I am really honored to be part of the bloggers to witness this with the help of JAB Hauz of Zen's team medical and team holistic in bringing comfort to the participants by performing the spine alignment to them for free so they will feel relief from the long distances.

3Q Sports Event Management with its partnership with 97.9 Home Radio, Aliw Broadcasting Corporation and the Lighthouse Marina Resort Giro de Pilipinas' aim to make the Filipino a great contender for the international cycling circuit, they tested the Filipino cyclist's energy, endurance and stamina with its one of a kind courses. .

Held last October 9-11 at the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, the registrants - both local and international were given multi stages to conquer.

We were not able to see the first day, but we followed to their second race which was set in Mount Samat.

The drive up was really nerve wrecking for me because I don't really like really steep drives due to a previous incident - think about driving up to Mt. Samat in a Bike - I might've died in the first kilometer so I was really impressed with the cyclists because the energy and endurance they had to climb that long and winding path is really big.

With huge show of support from over 550 individuals, 50 executive cycling teams nationwide and almost hundreds of participants all over the world including riders from from Taiwan, Hong Kong, Singapore, Scotland, USA, China, New Zealand, Kenya, Germany, Korea, Dubai, Canada and Japan Giro De Pilipinas gave a new experience to all the participants with a new course to test them that also showcases scenic routes of Subic, Zambales and Bataan.

To help promote Cycling in general as a tool towards healthy living and to encourage everyone to get out and form a team, Giro De Pilipinas paved way in making this possible with also showcasing scenic routes of the Philippines.

After the second leg, they had a fellowship night which is where they awarded the winners which was help at the Lighthouse Hotel just inside the Subic Freeport that served as the athlete's village.

Everyone is a winner at Giro De Pilipinas because of the sportsmanship everyone showcased and also the camaraderie between the Filipino cyclists and our foreign contenders.

More power to Giro De Pilipinas and hoping for more events with them!

Much love!
