Product Review: Avon Naturals Oil Control Witch Hazel Cleanser

This is just a review I'm making about one of the cleansers I'm using at the moment so here goes.

I got this product about a week ago and tried to use it since I have known for a fact that witch hazel really does reduce oiliness.

According to the bottle:

This rich foaming cleanser is especially formulated for oily skin. The Natural oil Control witch hazel cleanser gently cleanses dirt and impurities without leaving any residue. Your skin will feel fresh and matte, without oily-shine after wash.

With witch hazel extract, known for its astringent properties, and meadowsweet extract, known for its healing properties.

Its a cheap buy for 100ml for 99 pesos.

Now here is the likes and don't likes part:

What I like about the product:
- Does leave your skin matte after wash.
- Cheap buy for 99 pesos each

What I don't like about the product:
- After washing my face, I felt a tightening sensation which is actually not good.
- Its not foamy. I have tried to create lather and it also doesn't lather that much.
- After 3 days of usage I broke out...not one at a time but 3 at a time.
- Not available locally, You have to contact an Avon lady to buy this product.

My final verdict:

I was really disappointed with this product from Avon. They do make one of the best make up but then in terms of their skin care line I wasn't able to see any luck. I will not repurchase another tube of this cleanser because it did not lived up to what I expected. I hope Avon will re-think about this product if this is really for oily skin. :(

Sadly this gets 1 out of 5 stars.

This is for my entry today. Any comments? Suggestions? comment below ^^

See the devastation the cleanser made to my skin... :(

Much Love!

Tips for Finding the Right Perfume.

Buying a perfume is something that I usually get giddy next to all things girly. Buying the right perfume is not just choosing the packaging or who the endorser is; it actually takes more than that. Here are some tips I can give you for you to choose the right perfume for you.

1. Consider when you are going to use it.

Before buying a perfume, imagine yourself wearing it on a certain occasion; let's say a posh dinner party or just a week end escape at the beach. Usually light scents are best for everyday use while sweeter heavier scents are more for special occasions.

2. Consider the weather.

What I mean by weather is when you are going to use it. If you are going to use your sweet musk perfume out on the beach, your mood might swing to another level. Light scents tend to be better during summer while sweet, lush scents are better when it is colder.

3. Trust your instinct.

Before you buy that bottle of perfume with Britney, Christina or whoever it is take a moment to think what you would feel when you will wear this. Another thing you have to ask yourself is if you like it. If at first whiff you don't like it don't buy it, because once your body rejects it there is no turning back.

4. Take your time.

In buying the right perfume for you always take your time. It is also like buying our shoes or make up. One tip is to spray the perfume on your skin, not on paper. I have seen perfume counters giving out strips of paper with the perfume sprayed on it, not a good way to test the product. One way is to spray it in your pulse and let it stay for at least 30 minutes and check if you still like the scent.

5. Know the proper way to wear a perfume.

At first I was shocked that there is a proper way to wear a perfume, but there is! The proper way to wear one is to simply spray on your pulse points- your wrists and neck. Spraying it on these areas actually make the scent last longer.

One way to know that you are wearing too much is if your friends can smell you a mile away..haha! Kidding! But over spraying your perfume may have a negative on the people your with.

Perfume is one of the things that girls really put an effort in having. A simple scent can be part of your whole look. The perfume that we use can alter our mood, outlook, even what other people think of us. I hope this post will help you to find the right perfume for you.

Much love!
